We would like to share experiences using Clean Cut Construction. We contacted them about the demolition and construction of a new elevated balcony that was attached to our condominium. They came out and gave us an estimate which we approved and scheduled a date for the construction to begin.
Throughout the whole process they arrived on time every day and was always very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The entire process took approximately 2 1/2 days for the initial balcony and they came out a couple of more days to do finishing touch-ups.
During that time there were some issues with the matching of our aluminum siding, but they were able to come up with a very aesthetically pleasing workaround. I would highly recommend their services for anyone interested in replacing or the initial construction of a deck or balcony.

Hired Decks on Point for a deck demo/rebuild. Carter was excellent to work with. Extremely knowledgeable, reliable and fairly priced. Would highly recommend to anyone.
How Much Does Pergola Installation Cost in Greenfield, IN?
We know this is the big question—and it’s a fair one. Pergola projects in Greenfield typically start at around $5,000 and can run up to $30,000+, depending on the design and materials. Most homeowners land somewhere in the middle, depending on their vision.
What affects the price?
- Pergola Size: A bigger pergola means more material, labor, and time—so it adds up by the square foot.
- Material Used: Wood is affordable and beautiful, but options like vinyl or composite are more durable and require less maintenance over time.
- Site Condition: If your backyard has a slope, moisture issues, or poor drainage, we may need to do a little extra prep to ensure a solid structure.
- Custom Features: Built-in lighting, retractable roofs, privacy panels, or custom paint/staining can raise your price—but also the enjoyment.
- Required Permits: Depending on your area, permits might be needed, and fees for these will add to the cost.
- Preparation Work: Conditions like uneven ground might require extra prep, which can affect overall project expenses.
Budget-Friendly & On-Time Completion
We understand budgets and timelines are major concerns—and we take both seriously. With Decks On Point, you’re getting a partner who listens to your needs and sticks to the plan.
Budget
Think of it this way: most pergola installations cost less than redoing a kitchen or bathroom, but they give you year-round value and daily enjoyment. When broken down over the life of your pergola, you’re paying less than your monthly coffee habit for a whole new outdoor room.
Timeline
We respect your space, your schedule, and your sanity. Our crews show up on time, stay on task, and keep your yard clean. Most pergolas are completed in under a week, and we’ll always communicate if anything needs adjusting.

FAQs About Pergola Installation in Greenfield, IN
Do I need a permit to build a pergola in Greenfield?
Yes, in most cases. The City of Greenfield typically requires permits for permanent structures like pergolas, especially if they’re attached to your home or include electrical work. We’ll handle the permitting process so you don’t have to navigate city regulations on your own.
Can I install a pergola over my existing deck?
Absolutely. Many homeowners with composite decks or pressure-treated lumber choose to enhance their space with a pergola. We’ll assess your deck’s structure to ensure it can support the weight, and we’ll anchor everything securely. If your existing deck has issues like rotting wood or warped boards, we can recommend repairs first.
What’s the best material for low-maintenance pergolas?
If you want something that holds up with minimal effort, vinyl and aluminum pergolas are great choices. Composite options are also very popular for their durability and less maintenance compared to wood. We’ll walk you through the pros and cons of each so you can decide what fits your lifestyle.
What happens if there’s bad weather during construction?
Rain happens—especially here. If the forecast turns, we plan around it. We’ll never rush the job or pour concrete footings in soggy ground. Our goal is to keep your structure safe and long-lasting. We stay in close contact throughout the project so you’re always in the loop.
